Joint Replacements for the Fingers

This patient had pain and swelling (Figure 1) with a fractured implant (Figure 2). It was of an older generation with a flexible plastic for the index finger knuckle or MCP joint. By revising it to a newer generation with a metal stem and a rigid plastic socket. We were able to provide pain relief with a stable joint that had a good range of motion.
